Photos,
35mm Slides & Digital Photos
We
accept black & white and color photos (up
to 8” x 10”), digital photos, and 35mm
slides. The number of photos on a
single DVD depends on the number of titles, labels
and chapters. Approximately 700 pictures can fit
on one DVD.
Photos
must be removed from albums and frames. Digital
photos must be submitted on a CD-R or DVD-R.
We
use the DVD’s full frame size of 720
x 480. Digital photos submitted that are larger
than this will be resized before transfer.

The
following is a description of what each Standard
Photo Package includes:

Up
to 60
still images (photos, digital photos, 35mm
slides), black & white or
color, scanned and transferred onto a DVD-R.
Additional images are just $.50 each |

DVD-R
in a clear slim jewel case. |
|
Basic
image brightness and sharpness adjustments |
|
Opening
and closing titles. You write an opening
title for your DVD (e.g., John Smith Family
1955-1958). You may also write a closing
title, e.g., “To you, with love, from
Mom and Dad.” Or we can end it with
a simple “The End”. |
|
The
opening title you choose begins your DVD
and is printed on the disc & the disc’s
Navigational Menu |
|
Navigational
Photo Menu which consists of thumbnail pictures
of the chapter marks in the disc. It’s
the “table of contents” which
allows you to click on an image to move quickly
back and forth within the disc. Chapter marks
are added roughly every 6 minutes. |
|
Each
image stays on the screen for 5 seconds before
switching to the next image. You may
press the “pause” button on your
DVD remote if you want to spend more time
on a photo. |
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
ADDITIONAL IMAGES: If you have
more than the 60 images that you would like
to include on your
DVD, you can add them for $ .50 per image.
ADD
TEXT TO IMAGES: If you have photographs
with information written on the back or on the
album
page or if you know information about the photo
that you don’t want to lose, it can be
added to your DVD images. You can add up to 45
letters/spaces per image for $ .10 per image. [For
example, you
can add text to 50 images for an additional
fee of $5.00.]
ADDITIONAL
IMAGE TOUCH-UP ~ Minor Level Enhancements: The
Standard Package includes minor adjustments
for sharpness and brightness. This option offers
additional touch-up. You can request to have a
specific image cropped and small blemishes, spots
or creases removed. (Please note: If a crease or
mark appears across a face or other skin area,
it may be more difficult to remove satisfactorily.)
The rate for adding minor enhancements to an image
is $ .40 per image.
ADDITIONAL
IMAGE TOUCH-UP ~ Moderate Level Enhancements:
This option includes additional touch-up work such
as removing or covering up distractions in the
background, repair of significant creasing or tears,
removal of blemishes and other marks, and applying
special effects. Because this type of enhancement
is more time consuming, it is charged at $20
per hour.
SPECIAL
REQUEST ENHANCEMENTS OR SPECIAL EFFECTS:
If you have a special request for a unique enhancement,
such as isolating a figure from the background
and changing the background, or adding special
effects, please contact
us. Special requests for detailed enhancements
or special effects are charged at $20 per hour.
More
complex touchups may be possible and are considered
on a case-by-case basis. Please contact
us for additional information.
CHAPTER
TITLES: If you prefer, you can have
certain images grouped together with a title,
instead of
having chapter marks inserted every 6 minutes.
For this option you would group those photos together,
number them in the order you want them to appear,
and band them together with a rubber band (snug
but not too tight). Then you can either put them
in an envelope marked with the title you want and
the number of the images enclosed or write that
information on a piece of paper and put it on top
of the photos. For example, #1 – 12: “Jimmy’s
First Year”.
Also
write this information on Options
Form 2 and attach it to your Photo
Order Form.
Each
title can have up to 100 letters/spaces. Additional
chapter titles can be added for $ .25 per title.
ADDITIONAL
COPIES of your DVDs may be requested
for $5.00 per DVD.

Delivery Confirmation and Tracking. Arrangements
can be made, however, to ship via United Parcel
Service. Because of our location, USPS and UPS
are the shipping options available for return shipping.
You can use USPS, UPS, FEDX, DHL, or AIRBORNE to
ship to us.

Movie Film
We
accept both Regular and Super-8mm (no sound)
film. They may be included on the same order.
We will
splice
like kind film together before transferring.
Both film types can exist on the same DVD.
We
transfer up to approximately 20 - 3" reels

The
following is a description of what our transfer includes:

Up
to 120 minutes is recorded and transferred
to a DVD-R. This is an “as-is” transfer
with no filters or other enhancements. |
|
Simple
editing is done
to remove over-exposed (black) or under-exposed
(very bright) frames which run 5 seconds
or longer. |
|
Each
filmstrip is inspected and carefully cleaned
and conditioned by hand before it is transferred. |
|
Simple
splices are made if needed. |
|
Leader
may be added to the beginning and end of
each reel if necessary. |

The

Beta,
VHS, & Video 8mm
We
accept Beta (home format), VHS (NTSC only) and
8mm Video for transferring to DVD.
The
number of minutes on the videotape to be converted
depends on the speed that was used when it was
recorded. For instance, there could be 60,
120, 240, or 360 minutes (1, 2, 4, or 6 hours)
recorded on your original tapes.
When
the images are transferred onto DVD the speed
used will allow 120 minutes of video per DVD.
If the tape contains more than 2 hrs, an additional DVD will be created with
the appropriate additional charge.
