In Memory of
Bert Harpham
Bert
Harpham was a Private First Class in the US Army,
Co. B, 168th Infantry, 121st Machine Gun Battalion,
32nd Division. His family moved from Council after
his father died here in 1900. He was killed during
World War I on the battlefield of Juvigny, France
on August 31, 1918. He is buried with over 6,000
of his fellow Americans who died during WWI while
fighting in that vicinity, in the Oise-Aisne American
Cemetery in Fere-en-Tardemos, France.
